Mr. Chalermpol Tuchinda

President of LES Thailand

Chalermpol is a Vice president of National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). He previously served as a Director of Software Park Thailand; Director Technopreneur Development and Services division at NSTDA; senior management roles at Thomson Reuters in Thailand and Executive Director at Bisnews (Public) Company limited. He co-founded and exited 5 businesses since 1989.

Chalermpol obtain MBA degree in Decision Support System; BS in MIS from Southern New Hampshire University; A.S. in Digital Electronic Engineering. He is active in several leading associations and Forums such as president of Licensing Executive Society Thailand (LEST), Committee member of Digital Economy Committee at Thailand International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Thailand), and a committee/secretariat of the Thai Business Incubation and Science Park Association (ThaiBISPA).

Mr. Alan Adcock

Immediate Past President

Alan Adcock, partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property and regulatory affairs groups, helps to oversee the firm’s client work in these areas across ASEAN. He has practiced IP law for 23 years in Asia and has received broad recognition as a leading practitioner in the region. He has been named a top IP lawyer in Thailand by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, WTR 1000, Managing Intellectual Property, and Asia Business Law. Alan is also recognized as a leading IP strategist by IAM Strategy 300, an expert on patents in IAM Patent 1000, one of the world’s foremost life sciences practitioners by IAM Life Sciences 250, and a leading life sciences regulatory lawyer by Who’s Who Legal.

Alan has extensive experience in IP acquisitions, strategic structuring, technology transfer, and IP licensing, and also handles various IP infringements and regulatory infractions involving labeling, advertising, clinical trials, and product registration throughout Asia. Alan is qualified in New York and New Jersey, and is fluent in Mandarin.

Ms. Eliza Stefaniw

Eliza Stefaniw, Advisor for Innovation Ecosystem Development at the Knowledge Xchange (KX) byKing Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), advances IP management, from strategy to operations and from IP protection to IP licensing. In addition, she focuses on capacity building within the innovation ecosystem of KMUTT and Thailand, by teaching patent and technology transfer skills and mentoring students and early stage start-up companies.

Eliza is a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) and member of the District of Columbia and USPTO bar. She regularly presents on IP and licensing related topics at conferences and workshops throughout Southeast Asia. She has over 20 years of experience in evaluating, protecting and using intellectual property, as a patent examiner, patent agent, intellectual property attorney and advisor in the US and Thailand. Eliza strives to maximize innovation impact by listening to inventors and clients and crafting tailored strategic solutions. Before moving to Thailand, she was an associate in the Silicon Valley office of Morgan, Lewis, and Bockius. Eliza became a registered US patent agent in 2001 and obtained her JD from Georgetown University Law Center. She holds a masters in physics from the University of Rochester, where she was an Office of Naval Research Graduate Fellow. She received a bachelors in physics and Russian with a concentration in international economic relations from Bryn Mawr College.

Mrs. Darani Vachanavuttivong

Darani Vachanavuttivong, co-managing partner of Tilleke & Gibbins and managing director of the firm’s regional intellectual property practice, is one of Asia’s most accomplished and well-regarded enforcers of intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
